Starting the very first day of October hang up the calendar. This calendar has Velcro sewn across the top and the top folds down on itself so it is easily attached and removed. The calender can be put on a hanger and hanging on a door or the count down calendar can wrap around any bar such as a quilt rack or a shelf that has a dowel going through the center. Place a small candy, treat or Halloween surprise in each of the pockets and every day in the month of October have your kids, guests, husband pick one until the day of Halloween. I don’t know if kids really get that excited for Halloween to come, but it is a fun Halloween activity for the whole family. Our “Slim Jim” count down calendar has a large gold sword that he is swinging through the air. He is sporting a purple hat with a large purple feather coming out of the side. He has a hook hand and he is ready for to guard your Halloween treats. We have many more homemade party favors that “Slim Jim” pirate appears on. We also have in this category our Halloween trick or treat bags. We have two options with a skeleton head appliqued on the front. These are simple appliques and we have found that it’s really the fabric that makes these skull heads come to life. The boys in our family for some reason are attracted to skull heads. I just don’t know why. Our Halloween party ideas just keep on coming.
