Nativity Activity Ideas “The Littlest Shepherd”
Silent night, special night learn of Christ and feel His light.
This Christmas Nativity download will help you and your children celebrate the real reason for Christmas.
Our sweet illustrated book tells the Nativity story through the eyes of the “Littlest Shepherd.”
There are different options when doing this activity: You can use a nativity set with all the nativity pieces to tell the nativity story. Or you can have your children act out the nativity while you read the story. (This is what our family does). Last you can have your children draw the nativity as you read the story.
Children will then be able to prepare a manger for the Savior and place him in it at the end. You can extend this special activity by instructing children to place one piece of straw in the manger for every good deed they do throughout the month of December so that they can prepare a soft bed for the baby Jesus.
This is a perfect activity for December 1st (we always do something special to welcome the month of the Savior’s birth), for Christmas Eve, or just for a truly special family night.
This download includes printable illustrated “The Littlest Shepherd” story. Also included are printable manger and figures, printable star to decorate, printable manger and printable baby Jesus, pictures and step-by-step instructions. Download, print and celebrate the real meaning of Christmas.
